Well, it's been 4 and a half months and finally I've succumbed to the world of Legal Cashiering once more. Only part-time mind, Wednesdays and Friday, and I'm still at Uni, so don't panic Mr Mainwaring. Exam results tomorrow though, so there may be some poopoo in the pants and tears before bedtime. Speaking of which..time for.....bed!

Hello, good afternoon and love to you all out thar. I'm in a right jolly mood as I've just this morning finished my last modular exam of the semester (wooh!), and asides the small matter of an essay to hand in on Monday (booh!) it's gonna be a roista-doista godshagger (tm!) of a weekend.

Tomorrow night, in the red and white corner, let's get ready to play loud blues and sing funny on skates with THE WHITE STRIPES at the (you're as cold as..) Ice Arena! (wooh! wooh!). We are chillin' and maxin' like a suckatash (whatever that means!). Apologies for the exclamation frenzy but can't you understand!?

Then on Saturday it's off to Sunny Leicester (tm) to meet up with the MIGHTY SISTER OF TED (wooh! wooh!). Then, cosmopolitan bastard that I am, it's back to Nottingham in the evening, hopefully to RIP SHIT UP and persuade some mofos to CUT SOME GODDAMN RUG and go out somewhere and do summat. If I'm not dead tired like.

Well, my first term as a fresher (aged 28) is so, like, over and stuff. I sort of get the feeling I've taken it a bit too seriously so far, but maybe with justification as quite a few people seem to have fucked up reasonably badly. Going to the first couple of lectures of a core module and then only to the tests? Sheesh, you must be a genius mate, but I ain't. Still, I'm averaging a decent level, although I gotta lot of work to do. S'good stuff though.

I'm back later for 'Leicester Xmas' for the weekend, before trying to get work for next week and then jetting off to Italia at the end of next week, to return at the end of the first week of January. Gaw blimey, s'all go intit? Hope to see all the Leicester lovelies over the weekend for card action and wet snogs.

It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you without a dope rhyme to step to. But I have, so forgive me. Bleurgh.

It's going to be a weird exotic Christmas for me as me and Ale are off to Italy for two and a half weeks over the break. This means that this weekend is our English Xmas sort of thing, so we're going to do the folks' stuff and the card stuff this weekend, which'll be a bit weird.

Wish me luck for the Italian Christmas, I just hope they don't get too miffed when I ponce off downstairs half the time to sort out my revision notes for the January exams :os. It'll be nice to have a break though, even if it's a week of not thinking philosophy. Don't let anyone tell you a degree is easy, they don't know what they're talking about. Even if yours was ;o).

Good day you beauties. Ting is getting mighty busy round these parts for sure, I seem to buy ten books (which I need to read simultaneously) every day and am already into the habit of making excessive, irrelevant notes at lectures to make me feel like I've done something. But I digress.. now, back to matters of booze..

We had a 'Phil Soc' social (my god, can they ponce up a night out on the piss any more embarrassingly?) on Tuesday. Unfortunately, meeting at the Union Bar simply meant that we drank shitloads of cheap booze in a relatively short time space, enabling intoxication to have occured slighly too early to actually get to know anyone any better in a recountable way. We wandered off to 'Czech' near the CornerHouse complex, a swanky bar with a plush decor and prices to match (except that we got happy hour prices 'cause we're poor students - yay!). Unfortunately, I let Adam (the geezer I know best off my course) go to the bar without express instructions and he came back with Absinth. Oh dear. I couldn't drink it at first..you know how you put it near your mouth and it feels like you're drinking it before the liquids touched your lips? So eventually we both necked 'em. And the pissed level went from 6 to 9 in a microsecond. Poor old Adam managed to clear a couple of more than half full glasses off the table and made his excuses and left on closing time.

Being drunk, chatty and in a 'what the hell, why not' mood, I joined a few non-freshers in visiting and R'n'B joint round Lace Market way called (wait for it) 'Linen'. Great name, eh? It was quality urban sounds - i.e. that 'Uh-Oh' song, the 'Oops Oh My' song I think was there somewhere, bitta Missy too..but despite having blotto dancing legs on, I couldn't linger and retired home about 1ish. I'm too old for this, seriously. I reach a point and then I need two days to recover.

Anyway, going now, should be reading about Cartesian Dualism and the problem of other minds. Ta-ra!

Hello there, safely through the weekend without cause for concern thank you.

Lee came over on Saturday for jolly. We had a bit of a royster, heading out to 'The Castle' public house (near the Nottingham Castle) which was nice but a bit heavy on the old wallet. Then, as the night was nearly as old as we were, we headed up to the Rescue Rooms, a beautiful place with very good music going on and quite a decent layout. We cut some rug until about half past midnight and then one of our party led us onward to the Cookie Club in search of new people, new experiences, new tastes, new values.

A minor queue for Cookie Club was not too bad, and when we got in the place had the same pleasing loud messiness of it's sister club (The Fanclub in Leicester) but with the bonus of an extra floor (huzzah!) and even more pissed people. Which was nice, and a lot of fun.

Sunday morning saw some hot brekkiefryupadocious action and quite a bit of darts (the common room where we live has a dartsboard, a tv and naff all else). Somehow playing darts whilst hearing the Darkness on the radiogram is about as near as one can get to time travel methinks. It was quite disquieting to later learn that Alessia got a better dart players action than I have :o( but c'est la vie, as B*witched said once. Or maybe a few more times than that.

Hello campers. Not much to say, been busy in a dull sort of way unless going to Argos and having your 'phone line reconnected gets you wet. All's well though, although I'm pooing it a bit about starting Uni wiv 'da kids' next week. I'm just starting to read 'Walden' by Thoreau at the moment, it's having a nice calming effect (as is having finished 9 years of full-time employment on Tuesday evening).

The plan at the moment is to come back to Leicester for Brighton Beach on Saturday night but it ain't cast in stone just yet so if you're going let me know so I know it's a go-er.
